As Head of AI Technology, you will join our talented Technology Services team and engage with stakeholders throughout the enterprise to leverage internal and external partners to conceive, design, develop, launch, scale and evolve AI capabilities in a secure, responsible manner. This is a senior technical leadership role with high visibility throughout the organization. The successful candidate will possess significant, hands-on experience developing and integrating advanced technology capabilities in a complex global environment and has led large teams of direct and matrixed team members to build and scale tech solutions that deliver measurable business results.

Your expertise will shape the future of our AI products, ensuring they are robust, scalable, effective, and responsible, leveraging a range of skills including:
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute AI strategies that align with IHG’s mission and goals, focusing on enhancing customer and employee experience, driving measurable positive impact and enabling efficiencies.
Technical Expertise: Broad-based technical experience. Knowledge of and/or deep exposure to AI, automation, ML, deep learning, natural language processing technologies, tools, and techniques to make informed decisions, and a personal drive to continuously grow and expand AI knowledge and skills and stay current in a dynamic environment. Ability to learn and understand IHG’s technical infrastructure, organization, and roadmaps at a detailed level.
Product Mindset and Agile Product Leadership Proficiency: Deep experience leading complex technical products and programs in a product-centric organization, leveraging modern product management practices to drive quality results at pace.
Inspiration, Coaching and Teaching: Serve as a consultative influencer throughout the business, engaging effectively with colleagues at all levels, helping build individual and enterprise skills to understand how to effectively and safely leverage AI as appropriate to their individual role and how to evolve these skills for future imperatives.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of internal and partner experts, including leading matrix teams via influence and collaboration, to oversee the development and deployment of AI models to solve complex business problems.
Collaboration and Communication: Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate with highly technical and non-technical audiences with equally high impact to drive alignment and results.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest AI technologies and trends, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team; develop and integrate effective training and change management capabilities to help the entire organization transform.
Analytical Skills and Data Literacy: Ability to interpret and leverage data and monitor performance of systems and adjust as needed.
A Strong Ethical Compass: To drive effective governance, security and responsible use, ensuring protection for company and customer data and helping effectively manage a vast and dynamic range of threats, in close collaboration with security, legal, privacy teams and other stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with progressive work experience in Computer Science/MIS/IT, Business Administration or Engineering or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Experience:
Previous experience within a wide range of technical architectures, products, security, analytics, systems. Significant experience leading direct, matrix, and Statement of Work/Vendor and Contractor teams to accomplish objectives.
Proven and demonstrated leadership within a global organization driving the adoption of transformational technologies.
The salary range for this role is $ 183,751.00 - 229,688.00. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
